This weekend was crazy because I was hosting a bridal shower. I'm the maid of honor for my cousin's wedding that is in April and this is my first time being a maid of honor and yeah I was so nervous for this shower! I wanted everything to be perfect. There are 4 bridesmaids besides me, so I had help, but I organized a lot of it and my cousin isn't a fan of the games, neither am I really, so I made a game just for her. My cousin and I share a guilty pleasure of reading some celebrity gossip, like People magazine. So, I made a celebrity couples trivia game and I'm so happy that it was a hit. People really seemed to have a great time at the shower and even the waitresses apparently told the bride that they had never seen a more organized and entertaining shower. I was very proud and thrilled that my cousin seemed to have a phenomenal day. And also that people told me that if being an attorney doesn't work out that I could be a professional MC for parties lol!
Unfortunately, I was running around the whole day, so I didn't take pictures. Bad blogger. However, there is a picture of me while we were organizing all the gifts to move to the cars.
A look of relief that it all went successfully!
With the shower I missed my normal weigh in at Weight Watchers so I had to estimate by my scale at home and it looks like I fortunately didn't gain, but stayed the same. I consider that a success for this week! Now I'm hoping with week is less chaotic and stressful!

ReplyDeleteI heard about Diet Bet for the first time yesterday from one blogger that I visit. This must be an exciting and fun way to lose weight :). I lose track of my juice diet and I haven't exercise so well this few days. Anyway, you look beautiful. Have a great time.

ReplyDeleteRandom question- do you take your measurements? I try to weigh in weekly also, but I take measurements monthly- it helps keep me going especially on months when the scale doesnt move in my favor! :)

Girl I hate showers of any kind & it's mainly because of the games. I don't mind getting together but I despise games & I also hate watching them open their gifts, ugh!! Good for you for not subjecting everyone to that torture!! Keep up the good work!

I like that dress! I can't wait for our weather to really break here (did you get lucky with the weather last weekend for the shower??) Now there's a few inches of snow outside my window :(
ReplyDeleteI HATE HATE HATE shower games of any kind. I wish I had thought of requesting no games at my shower a few years back, I'm terrible at being the center of attention, not a good trait for a bride!
