Non-Scale Victories Linkup # 7!
Too many of us base our success just on the number we see on the scale, but there is so much more to it! All the little changes we make are helping us make a healthier lifestyle. Whether you lost weight this week or not, let's celebrate your non-scale victories! So whether you said no to that birthday cake in the office, ran a 5k, or tracked your food every day this week. . . it is time to celebrate!
My non-scale victory for the week- Trying more fruit!
Ok, so maybe this week's NSV seems kind of lame. Being sick this week I have to say that I have little accomplishments to share, but I have been needing to incorporate more fruit into my diet and I've definitely done that this week. I've always been more of a picky eater and so I have to really push myself to try new things. This week I've tried a few new fruits and discovered that I can definitely make my fruit salads more interesting now!
Making a life change like this to eat healthy I really need to find more ways to not be bored with food choices by spicing things up with new things. This means I must try new stuff! I'm getting so much better at it. Obviously I can't eat what I've always eaten or I'll get the same results. Here's to trying new things!

What did you try? How are you jazzing up those salads? I need to do this too.
ReplyDeletefruit I could eat all day long....veggies, not so much. I need to do the same, in the veggie department! Congrats, and thanks for the link up! I find Weigh in Wednesdays is motivating me so much I know this one will too!
ReplyDeleteI tried kale this week!!!!! I added it to my spinach and romaine salad... but it tastes like grass, or like I am eating a tree... its NOT good... but its a SUPER food, so I am trying!!!
ReplyDeleteMY nsv is to leave soda if I make it through the week I will try another week. But I'm not sure.
ReplyDeleteI like your nsv...trust me its not lame!

What a great NSV! I try to have one fruit a day - just one!?? Isn't that terrible?? I need to start getting better about this, thanks for the reminder, Katie!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great NSV! I also feel like I need to incorporate more fruits and veggies! I think we all battle with that! I have also been pleasantly suprised so far!! Good job!
ReplyDeleteKeep trying new ones! You might find something you really love! I eat frozen dark cherries ALL THE TIME! Give 'em a try - they are sweet and taste like a major cheat to me!!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of fruit did you try!? I love fruit I've recently become addicted to kiwi. I am picky eater too but you're right you have to try new things to incorporate them :) Great job girl!
ReplyDeleteI try to have some sort of fruit for breakfast every day. I'm very guilty, however, of only eating a few kinds. Maybe it's time to expand my horizons!
