What can I expect really, I've been a little crazy the 2 weeks prior having a gain of 4.2 then a loss of 4.4. I'm convinced my body is a little confused with some of the changes. Also, I admit that the lent pizza on Friday night probably did nothing to help a weight loss for the week. Pizza is apparently a food I cannot be trusted with. I'm always looking for ways to lighten up pizza, anyone have any diet friendly pizza options they can share?
Ok, well let's get to it:
This week's stats:
This week's loss = -.4 lb
Total loss= - 35 lb
Normally, I'd be pretty bummed about such a small loss, even though I'm a bit of a hypocrite because I'm the first person to tell everyone else that a loss is a loss. . . and yes that is true, losing is better than gaining. At least the scale is going in the correct direction. But, let's face it, we all get a little disappointed with the small losses.
After a week of tracking and being good, the majority of the time :), I think it is natural to get a little down with these smaller losses. However, I'm ok with it. Honestly, I had a huge gain and then a huge loss and I am in an adjustment period. I'm in the process of trying new things and regardless of the amount of weight lost I am feeling better about myself. I feel a little healthier.
Seriously, on Thursday I did a total of 74 push-ups (girly ones, but still) total during my workout. Sure they were done in increments, but 3 weeks ago I could do like 6 and with totally bad form. Little victories, I'm taking them! I've now lost a total of 35 pounds and that is pretty awesome!
Now I just need to get my goal for February back on track!
Finally, I'm so appreciative of all the support I've received from everyone who is following along! I hope I can continue to support you all as well. How was your week?
Week 7 = - 4 lbs
Total challenge loss = -7.8 lbs

Maybe try eggplant Parmesan as a pizza substitute? But like, without it being fried? haha I had one once that wasn't battered and fried in bread crumbs and it was still delicious! I wish I had a recipe to give to you for it, but I had it at a restaurant (I wish I had one for myself! lol) Just an idea :-) Thanks for setting up the accountability partners too! Im way excited for it!
ReplyDeleteTrader Joe's sells pizza dough - if you roll out the dough and add your own toppings, you can really control the calories. I like the whole wheat dough because it really gives the pizza a nice texture!
ReplyDeleteBetter than a gain right? You've lost some pretty significant weight and I'm sure your body is still getting lost to to 35 pound less you! You'll get 'em this week!!
ReplyDeleteA loss is a loss! I am afraid to weigh in this week because, if I'm honest, I didn't track or work out like I should have. So I'm worried.
ReplyDeleteLast week I was so good and lost almost 4 pounds, which I was psyched about. I can't believe I went from that to having a bad week, but it's so easy in hindsight to berate yourself, etc.
We just need to keep in mind that we CAN do this, we ARE doing this, and keep on keepin' on :)
You are doing great keep it up!!! I'm sure your muscles are in shock they will catch on to your program and you will see those big losses again!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing great keep it up!!! I'm sure your muscles are in shock they will catch on to your program and you will see those big losses again!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAt my Weight Watchers food we were talking about "trigger foods" mine is pizza for sure!! I can never just have one piece! And I have the hardest time saying no!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on hitting 35 pounds!! That is a HUGE accomplishment :) I have seen recipes using whole wheat tortillas as the pizza crust and I think Prego makes a light sauce. I have never tried this combo but I have heard it is a good pizza fix.
ReplyDeleteI love your attitude- any loss is a loss! So great job!
ReplyDeleteYou're right. It's so easy to be positive towards others and more negative towards ourselves, but in reality ANYTHING is better than a gain and it's completely true that sometimes our bodies go a little crazy when we change things drastically. Keep up the hard work!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great cauliflower crust that you can just add veggies to.

Also, we have a take and bake with a thin crust veggie delight that is yummy and totally reasonable on the calories.
74 push ups is awesome. I love the feeling of getting stronger and knowing what your body is capable of.
I take zucchini slices or portobello caps and top with sauce, cheese, and toppings (pepperoni and onion are my fave). Pizza taste without the carbs and cals!
ReplyDeletePizza is a weakness for me as well! as a matter of fact, I just had a piece for lunch! yikes!! 35 pounds down for you!!! That is so great!! Love it!
ReplyDelete74 pushups!!! Even if they ARE girly ones, that's an achievement! I don't even know how many I can do??? Like you said, a small loss is still a loss and it's the little ones that add up. I know what you mean, though, about being healthy and doing what you're supposed to be doing and seeing a small number :( Kinda deflates your balloon a little. The important part is to keep on doing what you're doing...and you're doing just that! PLUS being an inspiration and cheerleader to the rest of us!!
ReplyDeleteOh, and have you tried cauliflower crust for a pizza variation??? SOOOO Good!! Here's a link to the one I made :) I was surprised at how much I liked it! Filling and feels good knowing that you're not being "bad" :)

You're right, a loss is a loss and it's better than a gain. Keep working hard and I'm sure you'll see another loss next week.
ReplyDeleteWow. I'm impressed. You go, girl!

My fave low calorie pizza is easy to make! Use a Flat Out wrap and pile high with pizza sauce, 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, and 1 chopped yellow pepper. It's delicious!!
ReplyDeleteyou go girl!! It is really easy to get frustrated with small losses, but 35 lbs? thats awesome! I love me some pizza too! I have heard the cauliflower crusts are awesome, although I myself have never tried them!!
ReplyDeleteI was going to suggest the cauliflower crust, but I notice a few other people mentioned it as well. :) I'd really consider that! And a loss is definitely a loss :) But I know what you mean. it's hard to be content when the numbers still aren't what you wanna see. But 74 pushups is an AMAZING NSV!
ReplyDeleteI think you are looking at that .4 loss very positively! A .4 is a loss even if it wasn't what you had hoped. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteSmall victories are the most worthwhile!!! Keep up the good work!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing so awesome! I know that it can be hard only seeing a small loss after your big loss last week. But like you said, the scale is still moving in the right direction.
ReplyDeletePizza is one of my downfalls as well, and sadly, my family likes to have it every week on Saturday nights. I've gotten a lot better at controlling myself but I'm sure it will always be a struggle. But I'm sure that you'll start gaining more control over it soon.
I love having my accountability buddy, we've already started talking. :) Thank you so much for putting this all together!
You're right, a loss IS a loss. I last the same 2 pounds over and over again for a few weeks. This week I finally lost those pesky 2 pounds, so keep up the hard work.
ReplyDeleteA loss is definitely a loss! :)
ReplyDeleteI slipped with pizza over the weekend too! We ordered some for my daughter's birthday and it wasn't pretty. However, I also posted a .4 loss. I'll take that! Thanks so much for partnering everybody up with an accountability buddy... I appreciate the work and thought you put into it!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!! That is so awesome!

I make pizza bites out of portabella mushrooms. Pull off the stems and chop up with other chopped up veggies - onions and peppers are my favorites. I throw the bowl on my kitchen scale and add servings of pizza sauce, parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese and stir. I put the mushroom caps, upside down on foil, in the toaster oven to cook while I'm assembling the ingredients. Pull those out, and spoon the topping mixture into the caps. Pop into the toaster oven until mushrooms are soft and the cheese is melty! I do WW too, and they're barely any points - all you have to count is the cheeses! And so filling!
