Pay it Forward and New Motivation

First, I wanted to let you all know about something new I'm participating in! I'm partnering up with Kim over at Latte and a Prayer to host a DietBet. What is it? Well, it is a contest of sorts. You enter by "buying-in" for $10 and you have a goal to lose 4% of your weight in 4 weeks. If you reach your goal then you split the pot with all other members who have also reached their goal! The ultimate goal is for all of us to motivate each other and to get your money back. Money can also be a great motivator so if you are interested in participating it is by invitation only so email me at ktjweighingin(at)gmail(dot)com. You can also check out more of what it is all about by visiting the page here. If you don't want to enter something like that I totally understand. You can always receive some extra support by joining my facebook group :)

Besides money, another great motivator is reunions. I received a notice from my undergrad university reminding me that I have my 5 year college reunion this summer. 5 years!? That seems crazy to me! I had an amazing college experience. I really did make some lifelong friends and well it was really fun. Since receiving the mailing I've been texting back and forth with some college friends planning out making a weekend of the whole thing. I went to college about 6 hours from where I live so I don't get to see a lot of my college friends as much as I'd like so I'm very excited. It is a good excuse to go back and have a good time!

I wish I knew what my exact weight was in college. Is it strange that I don't know? I feel like the years have blurred and I have guesses about what size I was in, but I can't positively remember. All I know is that I could potentially go back being thinner than when I started college and that would be awesome! Something to work for. It isn't like I had an issue and now need to go back and be super awesome and show I've done all this stuff like you see in movies. It would just be personal satisfaction.

Although I hope my reunion is as awesome as this. Just saying.

Now, do you want to receive something from me in the mail this year? I've joined the new creative 2013 Pay it Forward. I participated in Laura's over at Walking in Memphis in High Heels and I thought it was a great idea!

To participate all you need to do is be one of the first 5 people to comment saying that you'd like to Pay it Forward and you will receive something from me in 2013. Just a nice surprise in the mail. The catch is that those 5 people must then offer the same on their blog.

So who wants to pay it forward?
