"This is Why You're Fat (And How to Get Thin Forever)" by Jackie Warner
A few people have recommended this book. So, based on what I heard, I decided to give it a try. I was hesitant at first because it is suggesting a diet program and I'm comfortable with Weight Watchers, but I'm glad that I did! Obviously, this is all my personal opinion and before changing your diet or exercise, make sure you check with you doctor!
She starts by telling you that "This is a book for the fat and frustrated . . ." So, if you meet this description then this book may be for you.
What I liked about this book was that she, in detail, explains how your body works. Sure, you may think you know all this information already, but I feel like I learned a lot. Of course I'm not in a health care field or anything, but she goes over what hormones help you burn fat vs store fat and what foods you should eat to get them all in balance.
I'm happy with Weight Watchers and will be sticking to that as my diet plan, however I plan on implementing her suggestions. I learned different things about foods I should be eating or avoiding and that can apply to any diet!
The book includes meal plans, recipes, work out ideas and suggestions, etc. One of the quotes I see most often from this book is: "Being fat isn't your fault; staying fat is." For healthier options and information on how to start exercising and what sorts of exercise you should be considering this is a good book!
She also has some words of advice and encouragement also :)
"Nothing you do or try is ever a failure, just an opportunity to make a bigger change and grow. Everyday is a new starting point."
The book has been recommended to me so many times and I found it enlightening. It really makes me think about my food choices and I look forward to applying her tips. So I thought, why not give a copy away!?
