Sure I'm not doing workouts like an Olympic athlete or something, but months ago doing 5 minutes on an elliptical would be pushing it. I'm celebrating the little victories!"Don't wait until you've reached your goal to be proud of yourself. Be proud of every step you take toward reaching your goal"- unkown
I hope these changes reflect on the scale, but honestly I am making myself a healthier person by doing this aerobic exercise and I have pushed myself to do it everyday this week, and some days in the morning and evening! It will take time and dedication to make it a habit, but I'm working on it!
I do have a question though if anyone reading this has an opinion...if you work out in the morning, should you eat breakfast before working out or is it ok to eat after?
I've been forcing myself out of bed, stumbling downstairs to the elliptical lol and eating after on my way to work. I'm not sure what is best to do for weight loss so any advice is appreciated.
I hope everyone has a good Thursday! Celebrate all your accomplishments!
Happy losing!
I eat a light snack before I work out. Some say not to because then you burn the fat you already have - or something like that. But in some of the books I've read they suggest eating something light because it will provide you with more energy to have a better workout.
ReplyDeleteGood for you on working out and I love your morning quote picture! :)
Thanks for sharing! I will need to read up on that more of what I should be doing.
ReplyDeleteI took the quote pic from interest so feel free to steal if you like it.
I think you'll be surprised with more energy if you eat before. I don't buy into the fasted cardio because from what I've read it's not a long term success factor. If I workout in the morning I try and eat a little and hour before but if I wake up and go straight to it ill get sick if I had just eaten. (:
ReplyDeleteThanks for your input! I think waking up an extra hour early to eat may be really pushing it before work. Who know though, I would have said exercising in the morning at all before was pushing it.
ReplyDeleteKudos to you for bening able to get up and work out... For the life of me, I cannot be bothered to wake up any earlier than absolutely required lol. I would suggest eating something light beforehand, only because eating first thing in the morning is a good way to jumpstart your metabolism. Could just be a piece of fruit or something, then have something more substantial afterward...
ReplyDeleteI think if you stick to something light and quick it won't make you sick or take up time. Like an apple or banana.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I didn't think I'd be able to get up either, I've warred with myself mentally contemplating having 20 minutes more of sleep. It is difficult, but I have a desk job so I have to figure out where I can squeeze in a work out and the morning is what looks like I need to do, sadly lol
ReplyDeleteOk, I will be giving it a try! Thanks for your suggestions!
